General Class Course - Fall 2017

Beginning Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 and continuing until Jan. 11, 2018, ARCNEM will host the General Class course at the National Electronics Museum. The course is free; attendees need to have their own copy of the current General Class License Manual.

Technician Class Course - Fall 2017

Free seven (7) week Technician Class. Students must provide their own current ARRL HAM Radio License Manual - 3rd Edition.

When: Thursdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Starting Thursday, September 7, 2017
Where: National Electronics Museum - 1745 West Nursery Road, Linthicum, MD 20190

Extra Class License Course Announcement

The next Extra Class Course is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. The classes are held weekly on Tuesday evening at the National Electronics Museum, 6:30-9:30PM. The course is free; however, participants must bring their own copy of the ARRL Extra Class License Manual, Tenth Edition.

General Class License Course

The General Class License course will begin on Tuesday, November 10. It will be held at the National Electronics Museum, starting at 6:30PM and run for approximately 10 weeks. The course is free, but students must provide their own copy of the current ARRL General Class License Manual. Plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early the first evening for registration.

Extra Class Course

A free 8-10 week Extra Class course is scheduled to begin on 3 February 2015 at the Museum (subject to change if we have inclement weather). Classes start at 6:30PM and run until approx. 9:30PM. Register via email to Rol Anders, mailto:roland.anders@comcast.net.

General class course

A free, approximately seven-week licensing course in preparation for the FCC General Class Amateur Radio examination. This course is appropriate for hams who already have a Technician level license.

The FCC no longer requires Morse code ability. The FCC exam will be given on the last night of the class. The class is open to the public, and there are no age restrictions. For information contact Roland Anders (roland.anders@comcast.net).
