Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by club President John Paul Howell.

2. MINUTES
The minutes from the December 2009 meeting were approved.
3. REPORTS
(a) Treasurer's Report -- Fred Heath, AI3Z
Ended December 2009 with $1447.35.
(b) Station Equipment and Operation Reports
i. Northrop Grumman Family Net, Weds 3pm ET – Chip W4PBG / Bob K3FQP
Powerline noise was less. More participation. Maybe some sunspots appearing.
ii. TV net, Tues lunch (11:45am-12:15pm ET) – Heru W3WVV
Heru asked members to watch out for museum visitors moving things or changing
the settings on the ATV equipment.
iii. Monthly Power Line Noise Report – Rol K3RA
Power line noise persists. BGE to schedule another power outage. At present,
might have noise caused by a bad batch of lightning arrestors. Not much
change from last month.
(c) QSL Report – Nick K3NY
Nick and Tim Titus are cleaning up the databases and have found 2 more
countries for DXCC. We also have over 45,000 QSOs in total.
(d) FISTS Report - Nick K3NY
No report.
(e) Training Report -- Rol Anders, K3RA
Extra class has started with 17 participants. Will run about 12 weeks; exam
tentatively in April.
(f) FAR Report
No report. We still need a FAR Representative.
4. OLD BUSINESS
(a) Exhibit space for new rotating exhibit of our equipment
Members further discussed plans for a club exhibit.
(b) Station appearance cleanup
Tom Christovich, Jim Nowotarski, and Ted Bauer will develop ideas to improve
layout/appearance of station, price them, and present back to club.
(c) Gary Mauler's trailer
The club further discussed ideas for converting an old, approximately 20ft
trailer owned by Gary Mauler into a mobile communications vehicle.
5. NEW BUSINESS
(a) Storage area moved
Our club storage area is expected to be moved within a month and all items
must be tagged to be moved correctly. A work party was scheduled for Tuesday,
January 19, 6 pm.
(b) Promotional brochure
A new club promotional brochure was produced and is available online at:

6. NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
W3VPR is sponsoring the MD QSO Party this year.
