(b) Station Equipment and Operation Reports
i. Power Line Noise - - Rol K3RA
Noise mostly tamed. Returns inconsistently.
ii. Northrop Grumman Family Net, Wed. 3PM ET - - Chip W4PBG / Bob K3FQP
12 check-ins this week.
Alvin has been helping Bob with logging.
Line noise nil; atmospherics kicking up.
Moved to 15M after net; joined by 5 stations. Conditions were much better all around (21360MHz).
iii. 2M EM-C Net, Wed. 7:30PM - - Ted WA3AER
NCS volunteers recognized. Solicited ongoing NCS help.
Need inputs for ongoing questions/topics for weekly discussion.
Suggestion was made and accepted to post weekly question via reflector. Agreed to mix things up: some weeks info will be published in advance, others will be “pop quiz” style.
iv. Equipment Issues
• Antennas – wire antenna work still to be done. Tentatively scheduled work party for 5 Nov. to visit roof to address antenna work.
(c) QSL Report - - Nick K3NY –
New TY confirmation brings total to 265.
Received new band confirmations for 10M.
Bill, N3GO, took cards to CT for DXCC submittal (154 countries, 199 contacts):
Phone, CW on 20M.
Confusion over club's various registrations resolved; now just K3NEM.
Cards to be returned via certified mail
Paid $30 fee which includes return postage. Bill to be reimbursed for fees.
(d) FISTS Report - - Nick K3NY
Nick connected a student and teacher.
(e) FAR Report – no report. We still need a FAR Representative.
(f) Training Report - - Rol K3RA
Extra Class starts in January. General Class (12 candidates) finishes in November; test date 11/15. VE help will be needed.
(g) Special Event Report - -
Pearl Harbor Special Event info submitted to ARRL and CQ. Received acknowledgement from ARRL; nothing back from CQ. Need to contact Tom C re. web cam site and QRZ.com posting.

4. OLD BUSINESS
• Club Dues: Discussed handing out renewal forms at November and December meetings. Ted B. to contact Laurie K. for form; Jim N. has a supply of envelopes.
• Roof Access: resolved; will require NGC-badged escort to gain access to roof stairwell.

5. NEW BUSINESS
• Officer Elections: Nominations in Nov. Election in Dec.
• EEG machines: Ted B. has a contact with free vintage EEG machines available. Dennis Mc. interested. Info forwarded to NEM director to contact benefactor.
• Equipment loan: Membership motioned/agreed to semi-permanently loan 2M Ringo Ranger to Gary J.

6. NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS
Special Events:
• Upcoming Hamfests: Mason-Dixon Hamfest at Westminster - 23 Oct.
• Contest: CQWW SSB - 10/29-30
• MMARSI auction site: Gary H. provided details about this news Internet site auctioning ham gear to benefit local MARS.

Technical presentations – Suggest or volunteer by contacting John Paul.
• SDRCube Presentation: scheduled for 10 Nov. Nick Y. to set up coax; Mike B. will provide laptop.
